Welcome To Yuva Gram Vikas Mandal

Report For the Year of 2012 to 2013 About the Organization: Yuva Gram Vikas Mandal (Acronym Yuva Gram or YG) emerged in 1985 with the objective of overall development of society and started its activities from own ‘Warapgaon’ village as chief functionary of the organization belongs to the village. Since his childhood, he had a dream to develop at least his own village as a model, which can be replicated in surrounding villages. The period 1985 to 1995 remained most struggling period for the organization as he wanted to include some poor and ex – criminal community households also in the rehabilitation which was opposed by entire community.

Fighting against the higher caste communities alone he not only rehabilitated the Pardhi Community (branded as criminals during British Indian but later De-Notified in Independent India) but also initiated number of socio-economic improvement programs changing their entire life and mainstreaming them. The constructive community development process was enhanced after 1995 at the organizational level and over year the organization contributed significantly towards the socio-economic development of the poor and underprivileged in the district and particulary in tribal populated two blocks of Kaij and Dharur. It always focused on youth and women development to address the issues of poverty confronting poor and marginalized communities of the district. As a token of its contribution the organization ‘Yuva Gram’ was honored with ‘National Youth Award’ in the year of 2001 by Central Government for its outstanding contribution in youth development in Maharashtra
